Local wine shop Red or White suffering existential crisis after ordering 3 crates of rosé.

Fairhope (AL) - A local eatery famous for it's selection or red and white wines suffered a major catastrophe last week after an assistant accidentally ordered 3 crates of a rose wine, which doesn't fit in to the branding of the business. The story was officially broke by the local paper The Black & White & Read out of Mobile where another branch of Red or White resides. The owner of the business states that too much money has been spent on advertising and signage to change the name now and is still unsure whether or not to sell the rose colored beverage or sell the product to it's competitor Red & White.

Fairhope City Council to discuss plans for new subdivision in Mobile Bay in next meeting.

When the Fairhope City Council convenes next Tuesday, the primary point of discussion will be the new subdivision that will be built right over Mobile Bay in the Point Clear area. The subdivision will be called Baywood, a nod to the Lakewood Community that will be adjacent to Baywood on land. The premium built houses will be hurricane fortified and will use the previously retired Mobile Duck Tour Boat to transport residents to their home each day. For those that don't want to wait for the shuttle, Land Rover is releasing a Water Rover model vehicle that would get the job done and make your neighbors jealous. The project is expected to stir controversy, but the contractors claim Fairhope doesn't have any legal right over the bay, and the area may actually still belong to Spain due to errors in the original legal paperwork.

With Mardi Gras cancelled, Doctors fear a surge in dehydration related deaths with thousands left without any cups.

Residents on the Gulf Coast may be in big trouble come Mardi Gras Season this year as parades continue to cancel as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. The parades are generally a crucial means for survival for residents spanning the coast, as they depend on the plastic novelty cups to hold vital liquids for the rest of the year. With the summers breaking heat records each consecutive year, drinking throughout the day is increasingly important. Doctors in the area fear without the 2021 Mardi Gras cups, thousands will simply do without drinking this summer. Of course the population also owns cups made from crystal, glass, and other materials, but without any special gatherings planned, they may never opt to use those "fancy" glasses and just dehydrate slowly instead. Fairhope, Alabama Mayor Sullivan has set up special emergency booths around the city where volunteers will hand out recycled cups from past Mardi Gras with a limit of 5 per family for now.
