Just last week news broke about Fairhope's Down by the Bay Cafe closing down. The word on the street stated the restaurant would shut down and soon be replaced by condominiums. This had many residents and tourists alike fuming. What we did not expect was to awake this morning with the construction completely finished already.
Now the pier stands in the shadow of the new Trump branded condos overlooking the famous Fairhope fountain. When the President first heard about the possibility of the beloved Fairhope restaurant closing he had to seize a perfect opportunity. Contractors supposedly worked through the night in order to have the building ready for the late August weeks.It is reported that the hotel is already completely booked through 2018. According to leaks from inside the administration, almost all of the future residents appear to be Canadian Geese. The geese have had a blemished reputation in Fairhope this year so this may be a step in the right direction for the geese. There is no word yet if the geese plan to use the toilets in the facility or if they will continue to use the beach.
