Mobile's famous Azalea Trail Maids will be greeting the new year in a sleek new outfit designed by Modernist fashionista Herbertt Herbertson. The new take on a century old tradition will surly upset old school Mobilians, but bring new life to Mobile culture.
Every Year 50 girls from competing Mobile schools fight for the right to wear the honorary garb of frilly pastel dresses. The new Maids for 2019 will get the first chance to wear the customized suits, and will display them as they host Fairhope's annual lighting of the trees.
The new suits are made for comfort, but also come equipped with high tech weaponry such as laser guns and spirit swords. The new suits were built to help defend the Bay from monsters and Hurricanes, and each Trail Maid can unite their suits to become one giant hurricane-bashing robot.
