With lowered vehicular traffic downtown, the wild Jaywalkers are now thriving in their natural habitat.
Across the world we are seeing wildlife thrive in odd places now that the COVID-19 virus has shut down communities. Dolphins swimming through the Venetian canals, Elephants taking over Chinese villages, and Jaywalkers in downtown Fairhope. After the first week of the shutdown, the walkers started to wonder out of their homes and habitats. After observing the scene and finding it safe, they wondered into downtown in droves, finding comfort in the streets.
