Fairhope parents struggling to decide: Bayside, Bayshore, or eating?

Fairhope is home to many of the best school systems in the state. Even our public schools rank high for college preparedness and graduation rate. This aside, the pressure to place children in private schools is a top concern for local parents. Bayside, for one, located in Montrose, hosts an excellent academic program that features curriculum not offered at Fairhope High. Such programs include: Range Rover 101, Bonnaroo Sociology, Applied Latte dynamics, and Salt Life skills.

With growing tuition rates over the years, parents find themselves choosing between the array of private schools and eating food, a tough decision. Lisa Bingham Phillips, of Montrose, spoke with us about the upcoming school year, saying:
"I really feel lost trying to choose between Christ the King, Bayside, and Food. I mean, I love the high quality of the schools, but I really love eating every day too."
Lisa and other parents have come to realize maybe food is not all that big of a deal. I mean, Gandhi went without food for a long time when he put his kids though private school and he got famous for it. I think.

Fairhope French Quarter to become more authentic with new features.

Fairhope's lovely French Quarter district will now offer residents the real NOLA experience, with many new details including: Passed out junkies, costumed freaks, nude people who should probably should never be nude, and drunks who are unconscious but still somehow walking upright. The new features come with great excitement for our community since we all would love the real French Quarter experience without having to drive though Mobile to make that happen.

The new cast of drunken exhibits will be a mix of paid actors and also a special collection of real passed out folks collected directly off Bourbon Street and brought to Fairhope by van. It's not technically kidnapping if you give them beignets. As of right now, the City is still hiring drunken bachelorette parties to parade the quarter daily.

Panini Pete is especially thrilled about the new changes coming next year as he plans to use the passed out junkies as placeholders for customers waiting in line.

City Council set to vote for new Red Light District

The Fairhope City Council has postponed the vote to turn the city's downtown area into a licensed Red Light District until several more weeks away. There was no reason given for the postponement decision, but people are saying that there are still "kinks" to work out. Many cities across the globe have already installed Red Light Districts with positive changes shown for city cash flow and tourism. The change can see Fairhope light up De la Mare street with fancy red lights letting late night tourist and locals know that they are "open for business". Let your City Council know if you oppose or agree with the possible change before they vote in January.

Joanna Gaines set to run for President 2020 on shiplap wall platform

Home renovation celebrities Chip and Joanna Gaines have announced their bid to run in the 2020 presidential campaign. Their platform is based on new legislation for a large Shiplap wall, not necessarily on the Mexican border, they just want a huge shiplap wall anywhere. They are the current primary leader for the HGTV Party ahead of opponents the Property Brothers and Carter Oosterhouse.

In an interview this morning, Chip stated that the wall would employ tens of thousands of home improvement television contractors and would be a huge hit for at least 2 seasons. He is also adamant that he will build the wall and make HGTV pay for it.
